Nigel Clough confirmed as Derby manager

Well... Sky Sports News has confirmed that Nigel Clough is now manager of Derby County. I don't know anything about his contract, but quite frankly I'm not bothered about that, and that isn't the point of this post.

This appointment will definitely spice up the encounter between Derby and Nottingham Forest in the FA Cup later this month, with Nigel Clough, of course, being the son of Brian Clough, who had success at both clubs. Also a former Derby manager in Billy Davies facing his former club, after just joining their bitter rivals! This occurring after Earnshaw and Commons had also traded places across the A52!

Wow!.. What a match it will be! Much respect... I'm sure... will be shown to Nigel Clough from the Forest fans, even with him becoming manager of our bitter rivals. But with news of the match being shown on Setanta, Friday the 23rd, 7 45pm, it should prove to be a feisty encounter!.. and a game that surely the players will enjoy and saviour.

Will Nigel Clough follow in his father's footsteps and eventually join Nottingham Forest? Will Derby give Clough the vital experience to eventually manage at Forest? Or will he never join Forest and not emulate his father?.. Who knows!
